We have a simple doamin, in this domain we add a laptop as a client.
Our server is Win2000, but that laptop os is winXPprof.
After that we can ping from laptop to server but cant ping from server to that laptop( Also cant ping from other machines to that laptop).
And from laptop we can go to domain and access all the computers except one.
And we cant access that laptop from server also, but from that server we can access all other domain computers.
First we disable the network security and check, same proplems occured.
If any solution??????//
Answer1: Win XP is more secure than Win 2000, we can't access a file or folder from a win xp Pc if the particular pc's user account have a blank password this is default setting by microsoft. this may a problem like this

Answer2: Hei.. today only saw ur problem... Disable the XP firewall in Laptop.. OR take the tick for LAN connection in firewall settings... It should work now..

Answer3: This is very starnge and a typical network admins problem. Since all are mirosoft they should work fine. Is the laptop connected ip registered in the network registry properly ?
